Lincoln University is conducting a Hunter Survey to better understand hunters' activities and preferences in order to assist with game management priorities for the Game Animal Coucil (GAC).
Lincoln University, (proudly my old University where I studied a Bachelors in Environmental Management, and Masters in Natural Resource Management) has a long history of research into game animals and hunting in New Zealand. In undertaking this independent research, the Hunter Survey aims to understand:
- Why people hunt,
- Who the recreational hunters are,
- How many people hunt for each species,
- How many game animals recreational hunters kill each year,
- What hunters want
CLICK HERE to take the Hunter Survey. It takes about 5 minutes to complete and its easy multichoice - I've done mine.
Make sure you pass this link onto all your hunting mates so they can complete the survey to help make this research statiscally robust and meaningful. Successful and effective game management for hunters requires the input from users, so take the opportunity to have your say.
