Evening pig stalk

Evening pig stalk

Report from December 2006

Popped out with Zulu for a nosie during an evening in December 2006. Took the rifle incase we found some pork, and trialled out the new spotting scope which had recently arrived! Unfortunately it was clapped out with low cloud and wofting fog, so spotting scope wasn't too much good.

Heres a pic of the face that we camped opposite. We were looking onto a scrubby face with some lush valley growth. The amount of fresh pig rooting through the area makes it a promising spot for some pork :)

We glassed between the patches of cloud and saw a couple of young pigs [about 50 - 60lbs on the hoof] A neck shot meant some pork for the freezer
